Our expertise comes from building our careers at large agencies, such as Grey, Wunderman, Ogilvy One and others.  While we were fortunate to partner with many Fortune 500 clients, we identified an important need that the large agencies could not meet – more flexible, innovative and cost-effective solutions.  BrownDirect’s structure provides us with the opportunity to deliver solutions to our clients that will save time and money and drive growth.  We are a focused, dedicated cross functional team of experienced professionals.

Team

BrownDirect principals have extensive direct marketing, online and offline experience.  The entire cross functional team has over 75 years combined domestic and global experience, and has been fortunate to partner with Fortune 500 clients including:  JPMorgan Chase, Citibank Card Services, United Airlines, Sprint, GlaxoSmithKline, American Express, Goldman Sachs, TD Banknorth and Merrill Lynch to name a few.  We’ve managed large, high-volume integrated businesses that have enabled us to work on the development of programs and communications that build the brand across all channels, while meeting specific product goals that generate the best ROI.

Gail J. Brown,
Founder & CEO


Gail Brown is the founder and owner of BrownDirect and has over 25 years of marketing experience.  After spending many years working at large agencies, Gail founded BrownDirect in 2006, and has brought her varied direct marketing background that includes extensive experience with direct mail, interactive, and print.

Prior to launching BrownDirect, Gail worked at Grey Direct including 15 years at Grey Direct/NY as EVP, Director of Client Services where she managed many Fortune 500 accounts, including JPMorgan Chase, Sprint, Xerox and others.  In her leadership role on Chase Card Services, she was responsible for managing 15 unique lines of business and launched 6 new products.  Gail won the United Airlines account and opened the GreyDirect/Chicago office, where she was named President and managed over 50 professionals for two years.  During her tenure in Chicago, she grew revenues by over 46% in just two years.

Previous experience includes work at several direct marketing agencies including Wunderman, Ayer Direct and Saatchi, servicing traditional direct marketing clients including Time-Life Books, Merrill Lynch, AT&T and American Express.

Gail has extensive experience in the financial services, telecom, travel and retail industries and has been involved with all aspects of direct marketing – from new product introductions to acquisition, as well as loyalty and retention programs.  Gail is the proud recipient of numerous industry awards, including an International Echo Award for an innovative program developed for United Airlines.  She is trained in Six Sigma and has extensive experience on how to achieve operational efficiencies that save time and money.  With her skills – including P&L responsibility – she focuses on understanding the customer, the business and how to impact the bottom line.
